Fairview

Bobbi Harper has lived in the Fairview neighborhood her entire married life, moving into their first home there in 1985.

With a number of nearby amenities, friendly neighbors and a good school (Fairview Elementary), she said it “seemed like everything we were looking for.”

Harper said homes in the area have good property value and have maintained that value. She described her neighborhood as “really nice, very convenient.”

“We have Dublin Avenue Park and Bonnie View Nature area, Fairview is an excellent school, and the city has a really nice community garden behind Fairview school,” she said. “We have good restaurants on this side of town; you don’t have to go very far to enjoy yourself.”

Harper said she particularly enjoys easy access to the trail, which she said “you can pretty much take anywhere.”

“If you have a small child it’s easy to walk to school, and there’s a lot of kids that do that with their parents,” she said.

Sarah Lang said she and her husband also moved to Fairview because they loved the location.

“The neighborhood is quiet, friendly. The homes are affordable,” Lang said in an email. “Advantages include mature trees, and it’s close to parks and schools.”
